A Blend par excellence

What would you get if you would mix some sugar, honey some really 'suweet ' ripe fruits in a jar and churn it? Hmm lemme guess ... diabetes? To say the least, this song gives you just that, a melodious diabetes. Which one am I talking about? its none other than "hum toh aise hain bhaiyya" from Laga Chunari Mein Daag. I hear more sighs and see more wrinkled noses than I anticipated. I agree, the lyrics do not stand upto the mesmerizing effect of the 2 great singers' voices , but I am not talking about the lyrics at all. I don't listen to the lyrics, it is the rythm and the asthetic blend of voices rendered by the two singers makes this song a treat for thy ears. On one side you have got a more dominating voice of Sunidhi Chauhan who varies the tempo, amplitude and texture of her voice to suit the nature or the mood of the song. On the other hand you have a soft soothing captivating voice of Shreya Ghoshal who I am sure took many into the realm of their deepest and darkest desires with her songs in JISM. Sherya Ghoshal has provided the more subtle feelings to the song and taken it away from being yet another Sunidhi's dhin-tadak song. The last words do go out for the music director who brought these two different singer together to weave this melody.

Kudos.
